I have heard wonderful things about a beautiful person taken from this world far to soon. I hope that all who visit this site learn that good can be done in the time we all have here. My niece, Abigail, shared a bit of her feelings about Kirsten with me.

I asked Kirsten, if she could do anything with her life, what she would like to do. Her primary answer was: To use her life to accomplish the greatest good she could accomplish.
What an amazing and wonderful person. I had hoped to work with her on a joint project in the coming months. If there are other people who share her vision and want to help carry-on her works, please be in touch.

I am so terribly sorry for this senselessness, no one should have to endure such a loss as you have. I did not know Kirsten but from what I have read and heard she was an amazing young lady!

I didn't know Kirsten personally, but something about her spirit shines through in the words that she wrote and the causes that she fought for. It is inspiring to see young people standing up for things that really matter in this world, and it is tragic that her life was cut so short. It reminds me, though, that a life cannot be measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away. It looks like Kirsten had many of those moments. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Peace.

Although I am in no way connected to the Brydum family I am neverthless stunned and saddened by this unimaginable tragedy. The journals posted reveal a highly intelligent and committed young woman. How do you deal with the monstrous grief? I do not pretend to offer an answer. But somehow I hope her brief life will not have been lost in vain. May your tears ultimately bring you comfort.

I was thrilled to meet so many cousins recently, among them Kirsten's mother Mamie. This tragedy simply breaks my heart. I hope they find the perpetrator(s) and rehabilitate him/her/them so that their view of life is as positive as Kirsten's was. I'm sure she would have wanted that.
Love to the whole family and especially my friend Mamie -

We are friends of Kirsten's fiancee and learned about it even here in California. As parents of a 28 yr old girl we are shocked and saddened by this most devastating loss from such a senseless violent crime.
Our prayers are with her family to support them in their grief. We hope for some that they may cope with her passing.
